Attention to detail…Robert’s Story
Robert is living with dementia and is often confused. The 86-year-old, who is supported by his niece, frequently forgets where his apartment is.
To help with this, Care Support staff worked together with his niece to come up with a practical solution to help Robert by making photo signposts for him to his room.
Now he navigates with more confidence and his condition, which is currently mild and progressing slowly, is constantly being monitored and extra support will be put in if required.
Creating a simple aid like taking photos to guide my uncle to his room has increased his independence at St Ethelburga Court so much and I am really pleased with how Care Support took the time to work with me to help empower him.
